Identical letters dated 5 October 2015 from the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council

Upon instructions from my Government, I would like to draw your kind attention to the attached information regarding the mortar shells and rockets fired by terrorist groups on the city of Damascus and its suburbs during the period from 16 September to 2 October 2015, which resulted in the death and injury of many civilians (see annex).

It would be highly appreciated if the present letter and its annex were circulated as a document of the Security Council.
