All protesters should surrender arms, remove masks - Ukrainian ministry
All participants in the "Maidan self-defence" formations must surrender arms and remove their masks, Nikolai Velichkovich, Ukraine's deputy interior minister, told a press conference on Wednesday.
"It was decided yesterday that all participants in self-defence formations should remove their masks," he said.
Units of various groups continue drawing volunteers who gather in the building of the Kiev town hall and in other buildings in Kreshchatik Street. Participants in "self- defence units" continue hiding their faces and carrying clubs and knives. "Patrols" are placed at every administrative building and walk the centre of the city, making "checks".
