International humanitarian aid on sale in Ukrainian shops -- reports

Humanitarian aid that comes to Ukraine from many countries is not used to design purpose, the Ukrinform news agency has reported, citing as an example that some goods have been found on the store shelves in the country's west.

"Pasta that is part of Poland's humanitarian aid was sold in a grocery store in Novoyavorovsk, in the Lvov region. The package has no bar code and has a note that the product is not for sale," the report says.

Separate countries, international organisations and Ukrainian diasporas are sending humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. However, most often the humanitarian cargos fail to reach citizens of the country's east who mostly need them.

Russia is preparing to send its 29th humanitarian convoy to Donbas. The convoy will deliver foodstuffs, infant food and medical supplies, as well as personal hygiene products and sanitizers.
