Yanukovich announces mourning after deadly clashes in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich declared two-day mourning in the country, on February 22-23, a statement posted on the presidential website on Friday said.

"In connection with loss of lives in the mass clashes in Ukraine, I hereby order to announce two-day mourning on the killed, on February 22 and February 23, 2014," says the order signed by Yanukovich.

Ukraine is due to half-mast national flags, to cancel entertaining events, sports competitions, and TV and radio programmes will be changed.
