Malaysia to send two military transport planes to Ukraine

Malaysia would send two C-130 Hercules military transport planes to Ukraine to participate in the operation to establish causes of the airliner crash, a military official said on Saturday, adding they were entirely ready to provide any help where needed.

Malaysian Prime Minister said his country did not intend to draw conclusions based on suppositions about the crash, but would look for irrefutable evidence.

The investigation must be based on firm proof and irrefutable facts, local media cite him as saying.

The premier said he mourned together with all the relatives and friends of the victims.

The Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777, which was on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed in the Donetsk region on Thursday evening. All the 298 people aboard died.

Malaysian Airlines would change tickets to its any destinations free of charge, airline sources told Itar-Tass. It would be in force during the period from July 18 to July 24 for flights planned for the period from July 18 to December 31, the sources said. Passengers also can return tickets.

Malaysian Airlines expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

It is the second Malaysian Airlines passenger plane tragedy this year. On March 8, a Boeing 777 with 239 people on board mysteriously disappeared over the Indian Ocean.
