Ukraine border guard start inspecting Russian aid convoy
A Russian relief aid convoy bound for embattled eastern Ukraine is undergoing customs clearance at Russia's Donetsk border checkpoint in Rostov region, the press service of Kiev's military operation wrote on its Facebook page on Friday.
Out of 59 specialists from Ukraine examining the humanitarian cargo, there are 41 Ukrainian border guards and 18 customs officers, the statement said.
"By prior arrangement, the cargo will proceed to (Ukraine's eastern city of) Luhansk," it said.
Russia's convoy of 262 trucks set off for the Ukrainian border, carrying about 2,000 tons of food, medicines and household goods on August 12.
