Satellite images allegedly proving Russia's shelling on Ukraine falsified
Russian Defense Ministry finds Ukrainian Security Service's data which was made public on Wednesday and should have proved Russia's shelling on Ukraine as "hastily collected fakes."
According to Russian military officials, satellite imagery which Ukrainian Security Service had made public on July 30 was modified and Ukrainian side did not make it definitely.
The specific expertise was made public at the website of Russian Defense Military.

"The quality and arguments which Ukrainian Security Service produces today for accusations against Russia do not stand any criticism," Russian military agency said.
"Therefore, true makers of these satellite images do not dare to make them public under their names not to undermine the existing myth about the omnipotence of their space intelligence," Defense Ministry said at its website. The ministry affirmed that "Ukrainian side did not definitely" make these satellite images.
Defense Ministry said that 14 satellite images made public by the Ukrainian Security Service should have proved transfer of weapons and military hardware from Russia to Ukraine as well as shelling of settlements were not marked by any concrete location, date and time. The ministry said that "some vehicles and traces of their movement" can be really distinguished on satellite images, but it found it unclear how these objects were identified as Russian tanks or armored personnel carriers.
Commenting on data about alleged Russian military hardware in Ukraine and signs of launches from multiple launch rocket systems Grad, military officials noted that the terrain near settlements of Marinovka, Kozhevnya and Grigoryevka showed on the images "has been under control of Ukrainian military forces for a long time."
The Defense Ministry has also examined satellite images which should refute Russian data about movement of Ukraine's Buk air defense missile systems. According to a theory of the air incident, the Malaysian Boeing was downed from this air defense missile system on July 17. The ministry recalled that satellite images should have a clear-cut link to a concrete location in the geographic coordinate system and the exact astronomical time of filming should be indicated as well. The ministry noted that Ukrainian satellites Sich-1 and Sich-2, according to the Russian space control system, could not make satellite images which the Ukrainian Security Service had made public.
"This can be stated unequivocally that, according to the data of the Russian space control system, Ukrainian satellites Sich-1 and Sich-2 did not fly over mentioned territories from 6 am until 9 am GMT on July 12, 16, 17 and 18," the expertise returns indicated. "At the time marked on the satellite images over the air crash zone U.S. electronic intelligence satellite KeyHole was flying. So, the source of satellite images for further Ukrainian Security Service processing did not raise any doubts."
Russian military agency said that the time of recording marked on Ukrainian satellite images did not correspond to the very image and was falsified intentionally. Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry did not find any traces of distortion made by a photo editor on several satellite images.
