Group of Ukrainian refugees arrives in Leningrad region
Two buses with internally displaced persons from Ukraine have arrived in Russia's Leningrad region on Sunday.
Russia's emergencies situations ministry (EMERCOM) reports the group consists of 68 people, including 24 children.
"We have met the people, they have temporary accommodation at the local hospital in the Rozhdestvenno village and in the cultural centre of the Agalatovo settlement," the ministry said.
The refugees receive food and medical assistance, including psychological assistance. Representatives of the local administration, Russian migration service and the emergencies ministry are working there.
The local branch of the Russian Migration Service reported several days earlier about 80 refugees from Ukraine staying in the region.
Over 30 Russian regions have offered shelter to refugees from Ukraine. The temporary accommodation facilities house over 18,000 refugees.
