Ukraine declares Russian naval attaché persona non grata
Ukrainian authorities have declared the naval attaché of the Russian embassy in Ukraine a persona non grata in connection with his professional activity, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's department for information policies said Wednesday.
"Ukraine's Security Service detained the diplomat April 30 on the spot of his espionage action as a result of a successful counter-intelligence operation," the Ukrainian media said quoting the press service.
It said the diplomat was expected to leave Ukraine shortly.
