23 humanitarian corridors opened in Ukraine on Saturday - Russian Defense Ministry
Russia opened ten humanitarian corridors in Ukraine on Saturday, while Kiev announced 13 more routes, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia's National Defense Management Center, said on Saturday.
"Every day at 10.00 a.m., Russia opens humanitarian corridors in the Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol regions. Civilians and foreigners are provided with exits both to the Russian Federation and also to the west - through the areas controlled by the Kiev authorities," he said.
Mizintsev said that as of Saturday, Ukrainian counterparts had not agreed on any of the humanitarian corridors suggested by Russia, but claimed 13 additional routes exclusively through the Kiev-controlled areas.
The general pointed out that for humane reasons, the Russian Armed Forces and armed formations of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's republics are strictly compliant with the ceasefire along all the routes, including those proposed by Kiev.
