Ukraine's new anti-Russian sanctions to take effect on October 31

Ukraine's additional sanctions imposed on Russian individuals and legal entities are taking effect on October 31, a document published on the Verkhovna Rada's website has said.
On October 18, the press service of Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko published an updated list of Russian individuals and legal entities subject to the anti-Russian sanctions. The Kiev government added 335 new names to the list of personal sanctions. Another 167 companies were added to the previous list of sanctions imposed on 104 legal entities.
The updated list of individual sanctions comprises Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev; Rashid Nurgaliyev, the deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council; Russian Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin; Mikhail Fradkov, the former chief of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service; LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky and the Russian president's special envoys - Oleg Belaventsev in the North Caucasian Federal District; Sergey Menyailo in the Siberian Federal District; Georgy Muradov in the Republic of Crimea and Vladimir Ustinov in the Southern Federal District.
The updated list of legal entities includes "Rosoboronexport," "Rostec," "Izhmash", "KAMAZ" and "Rusal"; OJSC "Ilyushin Aviation Complex"; the United Aircraft Building Corporation (UABC); the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute"; a number of aviation companies, including Alrosa and UTair; banking and credit organizations, including Sberbank's "Kolibri" payment system; and the UNISTREAM Commercial Bank OJSC.
