More than 600,000 of Ukrainians appealed to Russia's Federal Migration Service (FMS), the organization's press service said on Friday.
"Ukrainians appeal for temporary asylum or refugee status," FMS representative said.
Currently 2.6 million of Ukraine's people are in Russia, including 1.1 million from eastern Ukraine.
"There are nearly 19,000 Ukrainians [from the embattled Donbas region] including 6,000 children in 338 accommodation stations in Russia," the FMS said.
