Russia to send another humanitarian convoy to Donbas in 10 days
Russia's emergencies ministry will send another humanitarian convoy to eastern Ukraine in a span of ten days, Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said on Monday.
"Now we have begun to form another, 15th, humanitarian convoy," he told a briefing in Geneva. "The humanitarian aid will include foodstuffs and medicines. Apart from that, we plan to supply equipment for the power generating sector, water supplies systems and building materials."
"We continue to strictly obey all requirements of international documents on humanitarian activities, we cooperate with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Kiev's official representatives, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and public organizations active in the areas of vital activity security and humanitarian assistance," he underscored.
The Russian minister noted that fourteenth Russian humanitarian convoy had returned from Donbass on Sunday. "The task has been accomplished. We have delivered foodstuffs, medical equipment and medicines. Apart from that, we have delivered technical equipment to restore the system of energy supplies and vital social facilities," Puchkov said, adding that the humanitarian aid also included textbooks and study aids from the Moscow State University for students and the faculty of the Donetsk University.
