Medvedev orders to form a commission for humanitarian assistance to Donbas
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree ordering the creation of a governmental commission for humanitarian assistance to the war-stricken territories in southeast Ukraine, the Russian government published on its website on Sunday.
The commission has been set up in view of the desperate humanitarian situation in southeastern districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The commission to be headed by a Russian deputy minister of economic development will work in the territory of Russia's southern Rostov region.
The commission will also include representatives of various ministries and agencies.
