Russian humanitarian convoy sets off back to Russia after delivering aid to Donetsk
Trucks of the Russian emergencies ministry's humanitarian convoy have been unloaded in east Ukrainian city of Donetsk, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry told TASS on Sunday.
"More than 90 trucks have been unloaded and the convoy has set off back to Russia," the spokesman said.
In Lugansk, trucks are still being unloaded, the spokesman said, adding that as soon as unloading was done, the trucks, also more than 90, would go back to Russia's southern Rostov region.
About 900 tonnes of humanitarian assistance were delivered on Sunday to Donetsk, and more than 500 tonnes - to Luhansk. The humanitarian aid included food products, medicines, building materials and New Year presents.
It was the tenth Russian humanitarian convoy to eastern Ukraine. The nine previous ones have delivered about 12,000 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes to eastern Ukraine since mid-August.
