Conflict in Ukraine deepening due to Russia's behavior - NATO
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, delivering a speech at the Munich Security Conference on Friday, has said Russia continues to destabilize situation in Ukraine.
"Russia continues to provide training, equipment, and forces in support of the separatists. And it continues to destabilize Ukraine in utter disregard for the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity," he said delivering a speech at the Munich Security Conference on Friday.
According to Stoltenberg, the conflict in Ukraine is deepening with a horrific cost to civilians.
He said last year was a turning point for European security and for the global order.
"Here in Europe, we see a dangerous pattern of Russian behavior: annexation, aggressive actions, intimidation," the Secretary General stressed.
"Since its foundation NATO has been a resolute guardian of the international order," he said adding that now that order is being challenged.
"And we must do our utmost to protect it," he appealed to the NATO members.
