The President of the Republic,

Reviewing the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen,

Reviewing the Law No. (43) for the Year 1999 concerning organizing and regulating the Red Cross and Red Crescent emblems and preventing emblems misuse,

Reviewing the Republic Decree No. (408) for the year 1999 concerning the formation of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and determining its responsibilities,

Reviewing the Law No. (50) for the Year 2007 concerning the formation of the cabinet, Based on the presentation of the prime minister, After the approval of the Cabinet,

The following Decree was issued

Article (1) reforming the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law (IHL) formed in the article No. (1) of the Republic Decree (408) for the year 1999 as follows:

1. Minister of Foreign Affairs Head

2. Minister of Public Health and Population Deputy Head

3. Secretary General Assistant for Political Affairs Member

4. Deputy Minister of Legal Affairs for the sector of Official Newspaper Member

5. Deputy Minister of Justice for the Sector of Judicial Affairs Member

6. Deputy Minister of Education for the Sector of Syllabus and Supervision Member

7. Deputy Minister of Media Member

8. Deputy Minister of Human Rights Member

9. Director General of Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Defense Member

10. Director General of Legal Affairs Service in Ministry of Foreign Affairs Member

11. Director General of Legal Affairs Service in the Ministry of Interior Member

12. A representative for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (to be chosen by the Minister of Education) Member

13. A representative for the Presidency Of the Republic (to be chosen by the Chief of Staff) Member

14. Yemen Red Crescent Society Secretary General Member

Article No. (2) The Republic Decree No. (104) for the year of 2002, concerning the addition of a member to the National Committee of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) is cancelled.

Article No. (3) This Republic Decree is part and parcel of the Republic Decree No. (408) for the year 1999 concerning the formation of the National Committee of International Humanitarian Law (IHL)

Article No. (4) This decree is carried out since the date of its issuance and published in the official newspaper

It was issued in the Presidency of Republic on 14 March 2009
