Inflation in Russia may be 11% and lower in 2015 -- source

Inflation in Russia may total 11% in 2015 instead of forecasted 11.9%, a source in the Ministry of Economic Development told TASS on Wednesday.

"The situation appears to be more positive as compared to our expectations because of the dramatic ruble strengthening in April and May," the source said. Annual inflation has already slowed down to 15.7%, he added.

"This creates preconditions for the lower value at the year-end, probably less than 11%," the source said.
