PF President Putin arriving in Brazilian capital for talks with President Dilma Rousseff

The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Brazil will be continued on Monday in the capital Brasilia that is located almost 1,000 kilometres from Rio de Janeiro (flight time 1 hour and 30 minutes) where on Sunday Putin attended the final match of the FIFA World Cup.
The key event of Monday will be Putin's bilateral talks with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on a wide range of issues. The side also plan wider talks and the signing of bilateral documents that are aimed at stimulating interaction in the spheres of energy, healthcare, transport, agriculture and customs regulation.
RF presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told Itar-Tass that the agenda of the Russian-Brazilian summit talks includes the whole range of bilateral and international co-operation issues. "The heads of state will exchange view on how to stimulate the mutual trade growth and spur the reciprocal investment flows," he said.
During the talks the sides also plan to touch upon international matters, including issues related to the co-ordination of approaches in the UN, BRICS, the Group of Twenty, WTO, as well as within the framework of regional integration associations.
Brazil is the fourth country in the programme of the Russian president's Latin American tour. Since Friday, he has visited Cuba, Nicaragua and Argentina. From the Brazilian capital Brasilia the Russian leader will travel to Fortaleza to attend the BRICS summit. The Russian president will meet in Fortaleza in the evening representatives of Russian and Brazilian business communities.
Putin had previously visited Brazil in 2004. Rousseff for her part had been on an official visit to Russia in December 2012. The latest contact between the two leaders took place at the G20 summit in St. Petersburg.
