Kushner scheduled to address congressional interns next week
Jared Kushner, married to first daughter Ivanka Trump and adviser to President Trump, will speak to congressional interns on Capitol Hill next week in a closed-door address, The Washington Post reports.
Kushner will address the college-age interns as part of the Summer Intern Lecture Series, which will also feature talks from House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) throughout next week.
The announcement comes after a report that Kushner's lawyer will no longer be representing him in the probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Scrutiny over the campaign heightened this week when Donald Trump Jr. revealed he met with a Russian lawyer in 2016 to gain opposition information on Hillary Clinton.
Kushner and Ryan are both scheduled to be at the Capitol Hill Visitor Center's auditorium, with the expectation that the talks will draw large crowds of summer interns.
