Putin: Georgia practically launched a war against South Ossetia
Georgia has practically launched a war against South Ossetia, Russia`s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said during his meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Beijing.
Putin told Mr. Nazarbayev that civilians in South Ossetia had been under massive artillery shelling from Grad rocket systems.
Guns and large-calibre mortars, and added that Moscow would certainly react adequately to this outbreak of violence in the region.
Mr. Putin also discussed the crisis in Georgia with the U.S. President George W. Bush and the Chinese leadership, who unanimously oppose a war.
