Alexander Lukashenko: CSTO should be transformed into full-fledged military organization
The Collective Security Treaty Organization should be transformed into a full-fledged military organization, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at a press conference for the Russian regional mass media.
“We would like the Collective Security Treaty Organization to be a real organization like Nato. They have an agreement: if any Nato country is a target of an aggression, all other member states go to war too. In the CSTO not all member states have ratified this article. But we need to do it,” the Head of State noted.
If Belarus and Russia as allies are ready for it, we should conduct such policy, Alexander Lukashenko considers. “If other countries are ready to join us, for instance Kazakhstan, it is necessary to spell it out and fulfill it properly,” the Belarusian leader highlighted.
