Mooring for Russian naval ships restored at Syria’s Tartus seaport
The quay for Russian naval ships to moor at has been restored at the Syrian seaport of Tartus. The restoration work was done by the crew of a Russian Black Sea auxiliary vessel. Tartus hosts a materiel support station that was once built to repair and supply Soviet ships navigating the Mediterranean. In December Russia’s Navy reappeared in the World Ocean following a 15-year break.
