Tskhinvali being shelled with large-caliber guns

Georgia has started shelling Tskhinvali,the center of the self-proclaimed republic of SouthOssetia, with large-caliber guns, said a spokespersonfor the South Ossetian government.

"Fifteen minutes ago, large-caliber guns started shelling the northern part of Tskhinvali," IrinaGagloyeva, the head of the South Ossetian Informationand Press Committee, told Interfax.
