Georgia pulls troops towards South Ossetian border
Georgia is pulling its troops towards the border with South Ossetia.
A corresponding statement was circulated by the breakaway republic’s Information and Press Committee on Saturday night.
South Ossetia fears more provocations following yesterday’s attack that left 6 people dead and injured 13.
The authorities are evacuating children from a number of villages.
South Ossetia’s President Eduard Kokoity vowed to suppress Georgian gunfire no matter where it came from and intends to announce full mobilization.
Moscow has urged the conflicting parties to sit down to talks.
