WHO declares Senegal Ebola-free
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Friday an end to the deadly Ebola outbreak in Senegal.
The UN Health Agency praised Senegal's efforts to stop the virus spread, calling them "a good example of what to do when faced with an imported case of Ebola."
The sole Ebola case in Senegal was confirmed in a man who had direct contact with an Ebola patient in neigboring Guinea.
Under the WHO rules, a country can be declared Ebola-free if no new cases are reported withing 42 days.
